Humanitarian response in Jordan

Finn Church Aid’s (FCA) humanitarian programme supports Syrian refugees in northern Jordan’s Za’atri and King Abdullah Park refugee camps.

FCA is preparing to support host communities across northern Jordan and Azraq refugee camp when its opening has been confirmed.

FCA targets youth aged between 15 and 24 years offering them non-formal education such as literacy, English, skills training and computer classes, as well as physical activities including football and psychosocial circus.

We aim to give young refugees the possibility to learn new skills and improve their confidence. Circus and football improve participants’ physical and psychosocial wellbeing.

FCA is committed to advocating and fostering increased awareness on human rights across our programme as well as ensuring all projects are gender balanced and participatory.

FCA’s humanitarian assistance in Jordan is funded by Finland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ACT Alliance and an Estonian non-profit organisation, Mondo.

Main outcomes:

More than 4400 Syrian refugee youths have participated in non-formal education and physical activities provided by FCA in the camps.
